Instructions | Please define/describe your thoughts and beliefs on the following questions. |
Who is Jesus Christ to you? | My center, my life, my strength and the One to Whom I will return when my time here is done. I love Him. He has carried me through every loss, strengthened me to endure every trauma and shared every moment of life’s joys with me, since I was born again in 1986. |
How does a person become Christian? | We become Christians by faith in the atoning death of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection from the dead, paying the ultimate price for the sins of all humankind and covering us with His Blood, by which we are redeemed, justified and made righteous in the eyes of God. |
Describe your beliefs about the Bible: | The Bible embodies the inerrant and Divinely inspired Word of God. It is a precious source of life and growth in our relationship with God. To me, the Bible is the yardstick by which I measure Truth, my guidance in times of decision and my comfort while weathering the storms of life. |
Describe your beliefs about the Holy Spirit: | Although named third in the Trinity, the Holy Spirit is absolutely equal in the triune Godhead. He is our Teacher, Comforter, Counselor and the One Who opens our hearts and minds to revelatory knowledge and intimacy with God. |
Briefly describe your personal faith testimony, your spiritual journey, and current walk with Christ: | Radically saved at 36, (Jesus miraculously healed me of inoperable tumors!), I have walked with Him for 37 years. It would be impossible to list all the miracles I have seen manifested in my life because of my faith in -and love for - Christ. The most astonishing miracle is the transformation & healing of my soul: mind, will and emotions. My background includes dark chapters of sexual molestation as a small child; physical, verbal and emotional abuse throughout my childhood and teenage years; surviving multiple attempts on my life (all were demonic assignments intended to kill me), being an unwanted child in the foster care system, surviving date rape & abduction (at knifepoint) and overcoming the resultant despair which tempted me to commit suicide, even as a child, to escape the pain of life. Jesus has healed my memories and traumas, (including medically diagnosed PTSD and Dissociative Disorder), as well as delivered me from bitterness & unforgiveness towards those who tormented and abused me. He has blessed me with a life story of restoration, deliverance, hope and joy. I am a happy and hope-filled child of God. I owe Him everything. |
Describe your Life Coaching practice/ministry and how you incorporate biblical principles, as well as spiritual practices and disciplines in your coaching activities (e.g., prayer, the use of Scripture, meditation, worship, solitude, etc.) | Prior to meeting with any client, I review their files (session notes and intake forms), then devote considerable time to prayer and seeking Holy Spirit’s leading. I am given to a lifestyle of “soaking prayer” (for lack of a better term) during which I sing, worship and sometimes just “soak” quietly in His Presence. He frequently prompts me to utilize specific, pertinent Scriptures, while actually interacting with my clients during their sessions. At times, He will awaken me during the night with an insight which will help my clients break through walls they might be facing (or might have built themselves). It is a never-ending source of joy to end each session with prayer…to see hope on my client’s countenance…and to know that God was able to help that person through my efforts. Life coaching from a Christian, God-based foundation is truly a legitimate ministerial outreach. |
