Instructions

Please define/describe your thoughts and beliefs on the following questions.

Who is Jesus Christ to you?

Jesus is a member of the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus is fully God, infinite and eternal. He has always existed and has always been God. He came to Earth and lived fully man. While on Earth, He performed miracles and taught us that we are to love God and others. He lived a sinless life. But He died on a Roman cross to pay the price of the world's sins. Then He rose on the third day, appeared to His disciples and 500 people, and ascended to heaven. We are all offered eternal life through His death, burial, and resurrection. He is the only way we are reconciled back to God. Jesus gives the right to become eternal children of God to all who believe and trust Him. Jesus is my Savior and Lord who took my place in judgment. He gives me hope. HE is always there for me.

How does a person become Christian?

Becoming a Christian involves a heart decision and a prayer to God. Part of being a Christian means understanding that everyone sins. The Bible says the price or penalty for sin is death. But salvation is a gift from God through Jesus. By laying down His life on the cross, He took our place and paid the ultimate price, the penalty for our sin: death. Jesus is our only way to God. So to become a Christian, one must admit they are a sinner and turn away from their sin. Once they have turned from their sin, they must trust in Christ because salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone. They must believe Jesus died on the cross to save them from their sins and give them eternal life. They confess that Jesus is their Lord and Savior. They can say a salvation prayer that says: Dear Lord,
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that do not please you. I have lived my life for myself only. I am sorry, and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. Please help me to turn away from my old ways and to follow Your will for my life. Please forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with your blood. I believe You died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life. I give it to you. From this day forward, help me to live every day for you and in a way that pleases you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you. Amen.

Describe your beliefs about the Bible:

The Bible is Holy and powerful. I believe it is God-inspired, authoritative, and inerrant. It provides divine guidance for Christians. Those who wrote the Scriptures wrote what the Holy Spirit inspired them to write. The New Testament contains commandments that still apply directly to us today. What we read in God’s Word, we must determine to do. The Bible contains everything we need to know about who God is, how to be saved, how to live pleasing to God, and how to govern His people in His church. We should read it, study it, love it, and obey it.

Describe your beliefs about the Holy Spirit:

We have God the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit in the Trinity. After the Ascension of Christ, He was the One sent as the Counsellor to the believers. The Holy Spirit is God’s presence in the lives of believers. The power of the Holy Spirit guides believers. We rely on Him to give us the strength to live in a way consistent with God’s plan. He binds us together with, and helps us become more like God. Jesus walked the Earth and was together with many in one place. But, the Holy Spirit is with all believers in all places. He enhances our natural characteristics and abilities and lifts them to new heights for God’s service. The Holy Spirit energizes believers from within rather than directing them by external rules. He gives us each gifts to use to fulfill our calling.

Briefly describe your personal faith testimony, your spiritual journey, and current walk with Christ:

I did not grow up with any formal relationship with the Lord. We did not attend church or read the Bible. My mother is an atheist. I always had a feeling that there was a God and that Jesus was His Son. But it was confusing, and I certainly did not understand His sacrifice on the cross. I married a man who was raised Catholic. Together we eventually went on a journey to find God. We attended a nondenominational church a few times. One day the Pastor spoke to me and explained that the thoughts in my head that said God hated me were not from him but from the liar. We started to go regularly. We joined a small group. We learned more and more. We grew in faith and relationship. We were both baptized by our pastor at the beach. I have researched and read. I have talked to my Spiritual mentors and counselors. I have taken many courses. I have a Bachelor's through the International School of Ministry (ISOM). I am currently working on a thesis for the Master's.

Describe your Life Coaching practice/ministry and how you incorporate biblical principles, as well as spiritual practices and disciplines in your coaching activities (e.g., prayer, the use of Scripture, meditation, worship, solitude, etc.)

Before all sessions, I pray for guidance and to be of service to the clients. When I am coaching, I pray to begin and end the session. I ask God to be present on the call. I ask for words to answer questions, give feedback, and help the clients. I let them know that true transformation comes only from Him. I share scripture and help them find their strength and dignity as His children. We look at their personality styles and learn about all the styles and how Jesus operated in each style. We also look at other people in the Bible and their personality styles. I will also help with looking at Spiritual gifts assessment and how to apply those gifts to pursue their purpose. I have also learned through ICCI about the Equipping Profile and see how that can be applied to help people on their journey. I help people to develop affirmations. I have coached many for free. I feel it is really what I have done my whole life without actually understanding coaching. It is what I feel my calling is. I took, and still take, courses through Kingdom Builders Academy. I then began to coach as a subcontractor with that organization. I love seeing others grow, and it is very rewarding to do this work. My background is in healthcare. I am a respiratory therapist, nurse, and nurse anesthetist. I have retired from that season of my life. I am pursuing coaching full-time now.
