Field Experience Description | Coaching: My journey began in 2009 when I established my business and ministry. Over the past 15 years, I've had the privilege of coaching and empowering women. But my journey of guiding and mentoring women started even earlier, with 20 years of experience in military ministry through PWOC (Protestant Women of The Chapel). Books and Courses: I have written three practical books: "12 Keys for Marriage Success: a Biblical Perspective for Wives", "Priorities for Life: Secrets of Success and Balance," and "God and Your Closet: De-Clutter Your Closet and Improve Your Self-Image." These books are the basis for my online courses, which include a self-paced version and a leader's kit for my marriage course, all designed to provide practical guidance and solutions. Additionally, I created a course called "Business Basics for the Mompreneur," designed to help women establish home-based businesses. Speaking: As a military wife and member of PWOC, I've had the honor of serving as PWOC President for Europe for one year. My speaking engagements have taken me to women's retreats for military women and wives in seven countries and at several military bases across the United States. Since returning to the US, I've been privileged to speak at or lead workshops at AWSA (Advanced Writers and Speakers Association), numerous MOPS groups (Mothers of Preschoolers), and various churches, ensuring a diverse audience. To explore more about my work and the services I offer, I invite you to visit my website at JoyeZook.com. |

Instructions | Please define/describe your thoughts and beliefs on the following questions. |
Who is Jesus Christ to you? | Jesus Christ is God's only Son, born of the virgin Mary. He came to earth as fully God and fully man. He lived sinless, crucified, died, and rose again on the third day. Then he ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God. He will return one day to earth in power and glory to rule. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. He has washed away my sins, and through Him and His covering of righteousness, I will live eternally with Him forever in heaven. |
How does a person become Christian? | You must confess you are a sinner and be willing to turn from your sin. Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and you will be saved. Romans 3:10-12 - We all have sinned. |
Describe your beliefs about the Bible: | The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God. |
Describe your beliefs about the Holy Spirit: | The Holy Spirit, the third part of the Trinity, is our constant guide. When Jesus ascended into heaven, He promised to send us a comforter. The Holy Spirit, our comforter and resides in us after we accept Christ as our savior. He guides us, convicts us of sin, and leads us to righteousness. |
Briefly describe your personal faith testimony, your spiritual journey, and current walk with Christ: | I was raised in the Methodist church, but I walked away from any relationship with God when I left home for college. After five years in an abusive marriage full of infidelity, I realized I needed help and a way out. God sent me my wonderful husband, Arron. A year after we were married, I prayed with Pat Robertson while watching the 700 Club to receive Jesus Christ as my Savior after hearing women talking about their new life after experiencing abuse. I was baptized in a Baptist church. From that point on, I wanted to learn how to lead a different life, following God's principles from the Bible. I discovered what it meant to be a godly wife and how to love and serve others. My husband and I spent 26 years of our 46 years of marriage serving in military chapels worldwide. Throughout our 46 years together, we have hosted a weekly Bible study in our homes and taught marriage Sunday school classes. I also served in the PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel) for over 30 years. Additionally, I sang and played percussion on the Praise Team my husband led at most of the Chapels we attended. Once my husband retired from the military, we served three years on staff with OCF (Officer's Christian Fellowship). We currently live in the piney woods of East Texas and are members of Summit Heights Fellowship, a non-denominational Protestant church. We host a small group weekly Bible study in our home, I attend a women's Bible study, and I plan to start a marriage group for women soon. |
Describe your Life Coaching practice/ministry and how you incorporate biblical principles, as well as spiritual practices and disciplines in your coaching activities (e.g., prayer, the use of Scripture, meditation, worship, solitude, etc.) | I help women apply biblical principles in their everyday lives and teach them how to create a life and marriage they love. My ministry is based on John 8:32: "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." I pray for and with my coaching clients and incorporate Scriptures in my writing, which serves as the foundation of my work. I often include a Bible verse at the end of one of my videos and post weekly Scriptures on social media. God and His word are the reason I live and serve. My goal is to bring practical applications of biblical principles that women can apply in their daily lives. I am committed to serving women on their spiritual journey. I call myself the Practical Christian Woman. |
