Instructions | Please define/describe your thoughts and beliefs on the following questions.
Who is Jesus Christ to you? | Jesus Christ is my Savior, my Lord, my Redeemer, my Friend, my Rescuer. He is my strength.. my one in whom my heart completely trusts. He is my everything. He is my Hope.. the one who purchased my eternal Salvation and forgave my sins through His blood on the cross.
How does a person become Christian? | By placing their faith in the Lord Jesus and the finished work of the cross. (Romans 3;23, Romans 6:23; 1 John 1:9). Believing that only through Faith in Christ can we be saved. One must believe by Faith, not through works.. confess your sins and receive His free gift of Salvation.
Describe your beliefs about the Bible: | The Bible is God’s Holy Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error. It is living and sharper than a two-edged sword.
Describe your beliefs about the Holy Spirit: | The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity living within believers to guide, empower, and transform them. He gives spiritual gifts to edify the Church and advance Gods kingdom. Gifts include: wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues, and interpretation of tongues. These gifts are still active today.
Briefly describe your personal faith testimony, your spiritual journey, and current walk with Christ: | I was raised in a Christian home. I accepted Jesus at 5 years old and was water baptized. As I got older, I doubted my salvation and “reaccepted” Jesus many times and was baptized every time after I walked the isle. When I was in 9th grade, my pastor sat down with me and helped me understand that I didn’t need to “reaccept Jesus” just because I don’t “feel saved.” It was His finished work on the cross and resurrection that saves me.. not based on my feelings. Praise God. In 9th grade I no longer walked in fear that I might not go to heaven, and started growing in my faith; leading youth Bible studies. I walked with Him all through high school and college. After college, I met my husband of 36 years while we were both Disciple Now (DN) leaders at my church in 1st Baptist Euless, Tx. He was finishing seminary, and we married less than a year from when we met. I worked with him in youth ministry, and then as a pastor’s wife when we moved to Dripping Springs, Tx. Shortly after moving to Dripping Springs, Tx, I became pregnant with my daughter who was born with spinal bifida. I really don’t have the words to write how that experience of learning about her situation and the uncertainty of her future drew me deeper with the Lord. Great is Thy Faithfulness!!! Now, as a grandmother, and almost 60 years old, I love Him even deeper. He is my everything and I cannot imagine one day without His presence. I don’t want to take one step out of His will for me. I just want more of Him. More of Him and less of me.
Describe your Life Coaching practice/ministry and how you incorporate biblical principles, as well as spiritual practices and disciplines in your coaching activities (e.g., prayer, the use of Scripture, meditation, worship, solitude, etc.) | Before I entered into ICCI and life coaching, I had been involved with freedom sessions and inner heart healing ministry. When I signed up with the courses in ICCI to begin my journey, originally, I saw deliverance (freedom) and inner heart healing ministry as completely separate than life coaching. But, the Lord is showing me that He wants to use all my training and experience as I pour into others in life coaching. I want to so clearly hear from the Lord as to what questions I need to ask the person in front of me. So far, I have only coached those that claim Jesus as their savior. I begin all sessions in prayer asking the the Holy Spirit leads and reveals what He wants them to know. I follow the protocols I’ve learned in ICCI and fully rely on the Holy Spirit to guide the session. I am always amazed at the freedom and clarity He brings when He shows up. I pray for all my clients as their day of coaching approaches, and ask the Lord to give me His questions.. His scriptures.. His words of Life for the person in front of me. I have also learned not to rush the process. I have learned to wait once I ask a question and have become more comfortable with silence. When I do this, they hear from the Lord. It is beautiful. Many of my clients who have struggled for so long to have direction… and hearing from the Lord and it has been powerful.
