Instructions | Please define/describe your thoughts and beliefs on the following questions. |
Who is Jesus Christ to you? | Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I gave my life and my heart to Him in 1995. He turned my life around. I can do nothing without Him and His Spirit. I am called to give all glory and honor to the God the Father through the Son, Jesus Christ by the power of His Holy Spirit. Psalm 40:2 |
How does a person become Christian? | A person must first realize that he/she is a sinner and in need of a Savior. The person must confess their sin to Christ, and believe that Jesus is the Lord, sent from the Father to show us how to repent so that we may be reconciled to the Father. A person must ask the Lord to forgive them of their sin and believe in their heart that Jesus is who He says He is. They must receive Christ into their heart. John 1:12 But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God. |
Describe your beliefs about the Bible: | I believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God, and that the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword...it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. The Bible is my guide and help to walk out this Christian life. I would be lost without it. I'm so glad that ICCI is a Christian Life coach opportunity, because it is so freeing and such a blessing to be able to know that I can coach others and use the scriptures to guide our conversations and their journeys. |
Describe your beliefs about the Holy Spirit: | i believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person and the third member of the Trinity, along with God the Father and God the Son. He is co-equal with them. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth and He is my counselor, comforter, and help. The Holy Spirit teaches me and guides me and is transforming me into the image of God. He guides me in all my decisions when I seek Him for advice, and He has lead me to ICCI to fulfill the God given, predestined call on my life to help others for His Kingdom purposes. |
Briefly describe your personal faith testimony, your spiritual journey, and current walk with Christ: | I surrendered my life to Christ in 1995. I grew up with a protestant mom who sent me to catholic school because she deemed it safer than public schools. There I learned Catholicism through High School. The one part of my education that stood out the most there was religion class, where I learned about purgatory and the 10 commandments. We were taught that there was a scale so to speak, as to how many commandments you could miss and still go to Heaven and how many if missed would send me straight to hell. Purgatory, l learned was for you if you were somewhere in the middle, and in that case, people or saints could pray for you to enter heaven. So each year of my adult life, if I had a near death situation happen, like almost be in a car accident... I would go over how many of the 10 commandments, I had missed to see where I would have gone if I had been in the accident and died. At one point in my life, I realized I had failed about 8 of the 10, and felt that I was doomed. I attended a catholic service, where a priest was speaking on the 10 commandments and shared about the commandment, thou shall not murder... and explained that abortion was murder...I had never heard that before and realized, I was truly going to hell. He said, if you've committed this sin you were no longer a catholic and you were going to hell. But God in His grace, allowed me to stumble upon a protestant pastor on the TV, just 2 weeks later, who spoke of the sinners prayer and said, that even if you've had an abortion, Jesus loves you and He will forgive you for your sin, if you confess your sin and ask Him into your heart. I said the prayer, and the pastor then said to go and find a Bible believing, Bible teaching church and learn about the Lord. My husband and I did just that. We found a church, joined it and gave our lives to Jesus, and were baptized. I have been learning and serving Him ever since. The Lord blessed us with 3 sons, who I home schooled and taught them about the Lord. In our church 20 years ago until now, I've facilitated along with my husband, Crown Financial courses and covenant marriage courses. We've lay-counseled many people over the years through these courses. Currently, I asked the Lord, now that I was finished, homeschooling, what did He have for me to do, what was my calling now. And in the quiet of the morning one day, around 4 am in my prayer room, he impressed on my heart to look up an email, that I had read a year ago and dismissed. Since I never delete emails, it was still there, along with another message that was more recent and unread. The message, from ICCI, read...You've been called to coach and it said the 2023 Hope Together conference was coming soon. I took this as a direct answer from the Lord. It was something that I was doing for years, helping people, without knowing that there was a name for it. Life Coach. I've started this journey of learning from ICCI and I love it. This seems to fit like a glove for me, but I knew that I wanted to be trained in this space and I have been so blessed to learn from ICCI and it's community and trainers. I am eager to receive my credentials so that I can be of even greater use to the Lord and His kingdom. Continuing to grow in Christ and I have begun Transformed Living, to really live out Romans 12: 1,2 in my own life, and then be more prepared to help others transform their lives by seeking to know the Lord, even more, and walk out their calling in life. Thank you, ICCI. |
Describe your Life Coaching practice/ministry and how you incorporate biblical principles, as well as spiritual practices and disciplines in your coaching activities (e.g., prayer, the use of Scripture, meditation, worship, solitude, etc.) | Currently, my church's Christian school, has asked me to life coach one of their international students. They are doing a pilot program, and asked me to lead it, because of all the facilitating and spending time helping others in our church that they've watch me do over the years. If they feel the pilot is successful, they will ask me to come back in September and coach this student and more for their junior and senior years. I have been blessed that they offer this position as a paid consulting position and agreed to pay me whatever my fee was. This has been a wonderful blessing and opportunity from God, that I've been able to study through the ICCI's coaching materials and be mentored by Lea Carawan, and have opportunity to apply what I've been learning with this student. She has been so receptive and a joy to coach. I feel so humbled and blessed. Thank you ICCI for preparing me for God's calling on my life. |
