Instructions | Please define/describe your thoughts and beliefs on the following questions. |
Who is Jesus Christ to you? | Jesus is my best friend. He is walking with me always and holding my hand. I know Him as my Lord and savior who sacrificed His own life, so that I may have eternal life. Without Him, I could not be forgiven and have the opportunity to live in the house of the Lord forever. He is the definition of love. |
How does a person become Christian? | A person becomes a Christian by admitting they are a sinner, asking for forgiveness, and accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. To publicly show their decision, being fully submersed in water for baptism is encouraged in the Bible. From there, it's about your relationship with Jesus, completely surrendering to self, and picking up your cross to walk daily. |
Describe your beliefs about the Bible: | The Bible is our guidebook. It is the road map to the truth we need to know about our lives here on Earth and in Heaven. The Bible was written by men who were allowing the Holy Spirit and God to speak through them to document what was needed. Both the new and old testaments are important in the Bible. So many people focus on the new testament, but the old testament is full of prophesy and instruction that is important we do not forget. The different translations of the Bible are important when studying. I recommend people start with a translation that is easy for them to understand, but build their library of other translations to be used as references. |
Describe your beliefs about the Holy Spirit: | As part of the trinity, the Holy Spirit is a gift we receive when we accept Christ. He acts as an Advocate to guide us on our walk. With the acceptance we also are gifted fruits of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Goodness, Kindness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. By having these fruits within us, we are able to endure any circumstance with hope and walk like Jesus as we journey here on earth. |
Briefly describe your personal faith testimony, your spiritual journey, and current walk with Christ: | My testimony is different than most might expect. I have never experienced addiction or experienced physical trauma in my childhood. Before following Jesus, I never knew peace. I never knew joy. I never knew true love. I always longed for the comfort that I saw other believers have...I just didn't know how to get there. The world shaped me and I was caught up in what the world defined as success. Climbing the corporate ladder. Making more money. Being who the world told me I was...I always thought I knew Jesus and was a Christian, but I never knew Him and I certainly never died to self to follow Him. Until, God led me to a church to begin my walk. Being baptized and joining a church was just the beginning. Over the past 7 years, I have grown much deeper on my walk with the Lord by truly saying YES to what He has planned for my life. He has shown me my spiritual gifts of encouragement and administration to minister to others and share the gospel through my passion for horses. God had horses as a staple in my life growing up to protect me and begin shaping me to use them to further the kingdom down the road. Currently I am growing my business to add a Christian Coaching service and offer retreats to those who are in the same situation I was of allowing the world to shape them and never being at peace because they don't KNOW Jesus. Our walk here on earth, our purpose, is all about discovering who you are in Christ, and saying YES to what God has planned for you. I am so grateful to have been led to ICCI to be part of the next step in my journey of furthering the kingdom. |
Describe your Life Coaching practice/ministry and how you incorporate biblical principles, as well as spiritual practices and disciplines in your coaching activities (e.g., prayer, the use of Scripture, meditation, worship, solitude, etc.) | In my coaching practice, God is the center of every session. Opening and ending with prayer, the Holy Spirit is invited to guide all discussions and actions. Part of my specialization is helping people to slow down and become centered enough to hear from the Holy Spirit. This includes meditation and opportunities to be still in nature to receive the healing God provides there. The world wants us to stay BUSY (Being Under Satan's Yoke) which takes us away from the balanced and peaceful state that God wants us to stay in. I focus on teaching people how to find that stillness they yearn for and seek God's will for their lives to find the meaning and purpose they desire. |
