Instructions | Please define/describe your thoughts and beliefs on the following questions. |
Who is Jesus Christ to you? | At one time in my life, I thought God was disappointed in me. He had every reason to be. But, the Bible teaches that all humankind was separated from God through Adam and Eve’s sin. It was not just me. We all go through the separation. We all are reconciled back to God through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. He was resurrected three days after his death, appeared to His disciples, and ascended into heaven to sit at the Father's right hand. His life and death provided the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world. I heard that many times. Then one day at my friend's funeral, I heard a pastor say that it was not just "the world" in general. It was for each individual. Even if I had been the only lost sinner, He would have died for me. My mind and heart were opened a little that day. In the future, Jesus Christ will return to earth to claim His bride (the Church) and establish His eternal kingdom. I am a small part of that bride. |
How does a person become Christian? | Being a Christian involves a transformation of our hearts. We believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. A merciful God does not give us what we deserve. He is full of grace and gives us what we do not deserve. Jesus Christ came to Earth to live fully as a man and God. He was crucified and then resurrected. He paid the price for us. God knows us individually and loves each of us. Nothing we have done or will do can make God love us less. We accept what He has done by faith. As Christians, we confess our sins and accept His gift of salvation. Then repentance involves a change in our thinking and our actions. We must genuinely regret our sins and then turn away from them, and toward Jesus Christ. True repentance means that we want to please God rather than ourselves. We come to know and love God more through the Holy Ghost, who enters our hearts as we commit our lives to Jesus Christ and are born again. We become adopted children of God and receive the hope that this new life will continue beyond death into heaven. We can say a prayer of salvation. We can be baptized to show the inner change outwardly. Jesus Christ alone has the power to save through faith. That is the good news for Christians. |
Describe your beliefs about the Bible: | The Bible is sacred because it carries the authority of God. It is a way that He communicates with the world as a spiritual guide. It is a source of inspiration and moral reflection. The Bible exalts God. This is important for us to build a relationship with Him. I believe all Scripture is God-breathed and is His living Word from beginning to end. The Holy Spirit directed the men who wrote the Bible. The writings point to God and a reconciled relationship. Reading, studying, and meditating on the Bible is a transformative journey. The teachings in the Bible give us guidance and instructions on how to live our lives. It also contains all things necessary for salvation. The Bible is a powerful tool and the most important book in history. |
Describe your beliefs about the Holy Spirit: | The Holy Spirit is a member of the Trinity. He is the Comforter, who Jesus promised would teach His followers to build up the Church. He transforms us so that we can be more like Him. Through teaching and revealing, He helps us to live righteously and receive the blessings of the gospel. We receive the Holy Spirit when we are born again. He gives us life, and we become new creatures in Christ. As the Lord’s servant, we are to do His work. Gifts of the Spirit help us to fulfill our call in this life for our benefit and for use in walking alongside others. We must rely on the Spirit rather than our talents and abilities. The Holy Spirit always guides our decisions and uses conviction to protect us from danger. He partners with us so we experience, and share, all the Lord's goodness. |
Briefly describe your personal faith testimony, your spiritual journey, and current walk with Christ: | I was not raised in the Church. My mother is still an atheist today. I married a man who was raised Catholic. But, he was not going to church or walking in faith. Over time I wanted to learn more about what his parents believed. I did read and speak to a few other people. We visited a church a few times. It is non-denominational. One day the pastor spoke right to me. He told me that the voice telling me God hated me was really from satan. He saved my life and my marriage. I then began to learn all I could. I was baptized. My husband was re-baptized. We became ministry partners at the church. I began to take online ministry classes. I earned a Diploma in Biblical Studies from the International School of Ministry and a Bachelor of Ministry from Christian Leadership University. I have completed a Master's program curriculum and have submitted my thesis. I started a Legal Nurse Consulting business and then began to coach nurses as well. Then my coaching expanded to women from abuse and trauma and I brought a Christian perspective to my coaching. |
Describe your Life Coaching practice/ministry and how you incorporate biblical principles, as well as spiritual practices and disciplines in your coaching activities (e.g., prayer, the use of Scripture, meditation, worship, solitude, etc.) | When coaching, I incorporate biblical principles. We do a spiritual gifts assessment. Then go into depth on how those gifts are used. Many women do not even believe that they have spiritual gifts. We also do a personality assessment and look at the different types of personalities. We go to examples of Jesus stepping into the personality types. We look at other people in the bible and their personality types. And we look at how interactions differ from the perspective of the personality type. We see how all people are given purpose and a call, not just perfect people. We work on appreciating the value God has given them and that He loves them. I give daily scripture and bible-based affirmations. Every session begins and ends with a prayer. Coaching questions focus on the client and then on the Lord. Then we work on getting in alignment with Jesus in all areas of the client's personal and professional life. |
