Instructions | Please define/describe your thoughts and beliefs on the following questions.
Who is Jesus Christ to you? | Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died on the cross for my sin. He is my Lord and Savior. He is also the second Person of the Trinity and is God the Son who is co-equaled with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.
How does a person become Christian? | We must admit to ourselves that we have sinned against God. We must feel sorrow for our sins and repent, asking the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sin, come into our heart to be our Lord and Savior. The person is water baptised before the church to publically symbolize their belief in Jesus Christ. The water is a symbol of sin being washed away. According to Romans 10:8-10 "But what does it say? The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart., that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: that if you confess your sins with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and you are saved."
Describe your beliefs about the Bible: | I believe all Scripture to be the inspired Word of God. It is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work according to 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
Describe your beliefs about the Holy Spirit: | I believe the Holy Spirit to be the third Person of the Trinity. I believe the Holy Spirit is God, co-equal with God the Father and God the Son and is of the same essence. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, The Holy Spirit comes and lives within us, in our hearts. We cannot come to Christ unless the Holy Spirit draws us unto Him. The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin to give us an opportunity to repent in order to remain righteousness before our Father in heaven.
Briefly describe your personal faith testimony, your spiritual journey, and current walk with Christ: | I grew up in the Pentecostal faith, Church of God in Christ. My thoughts of being saved growing up consisted of a lot of do's and don'ts, or more like legalism. For women, no make-up, no slacks, no nail polish, couldn't cut your hair, for the woman's hair is her crown and dresses had to be below the knee and there were more. I knew nothing about having a relationship with Jesus Christ until my late 30's. When I found out that there was nothing I could do to earn salvation, I wept. I felt at first my lack of knowledge kept me away all those years, until the LORD revealed to me that Holy Spirit drew me to Him at the right time, when my heart was ready to receive Him. After being saved and baptized, my eyes were opened to a whole new world. I was truly a new creature in Christ. My love and faith in Jesus have grown over the years. I love serving Him and sharing my faith with others. I particularly have a passion for ministering to women and a close second ministering to couples. I experienced a lot of hardships in my early life leading to having low self-esteem, unhealthy relationships, drug use (but not to the point of addiction). I had no one to talk to about these issues and used to wonder why God would allow hardships when all you are told is that He loves everyone. After giving my life to Him, I learned how compassionate He really is. I want to be that listening ear to young and old women alike as to how valuable they are to God and to share my faith with them. If they do not have a relationship with Him, I can help them become a Christian to experience a wonderful life with Jesus Christ. Same with couples. When I learned and understood how God instituted marriage, our marriage went to a different level. Marriage involves spiritual, emotional, and physical closeness and are meant to be unified in every possible way.
Describe your Life Coaching practice/ministry and how you incorporate biblical principles, as well as spiritual practices and disciplines in your coaching activities (e.g., prayer, the use of Scripture, meditation, worship, solitude, etc.) | Realigning My Life is about helping the client get back on track. Our lives, bodies, hearts and minds can sometimes ignore God's best intentions for us. When we step out of His love, peace, or even His presence, we quickly fall into misalignment on all sorts of levels. Starting with our inner self, our marriages, family, the workplace and even with God. The journey to a healthier us begins when we come to the realization that our lives are misaligned with the will of God. I wholeheartedly believe in prayer. To avoid offending anyone, I will ask the client if he/she mind if I pray before the session. I also like to explore who God is to the client to determine his/her worldview. This helps the coach to determine when and how to incorporate other biblical principles into the session. I am a firm believer of God's Word to be the absolute truth. That said, His Word is the solution to any issue we may encounter. I believe in using Scripture as it relates to the client's issue to bring peace, healing and guidance as needed. I take a collaborative and solution-focused approach to coaching in helping people get back on track. I believe by working together, we can identify your strengths, overcome obstacles, and create a plan of action to help you achieve your goals.
