Instructions | Please define/describe your thoughts and beliefs on the following questions. |
Who is Jesus Christ to you? | Jesus Christ is everything to me. My peace, my hope, my faith, my Redeemer, my Restorer, my Defender, my Intercessor, my Advocate and my Friend.. Jesus is my Lord and my King. He is most importantly my Savior. He rescued me out of the pits of hell and set me on His firm foundation. He has been my guide, my discernment and my help. He has comforted me when I needed comforting and He has been my teacher when I needed teaching. He has been my robe of Light and He has been my Belt of Truth. He has been my Breastplate of Righteousness and my feet have been shod witht the preparation of HIS Peace. He is my Shield of Faith and He is my Helmet of Salvation. Jesus is the Sword of the Spirit, the WORD of God, He is my dry clearner, because His Blood washed me clean. He is my high tower and my hiding place. He is my HEALER, most of all. Not just physically, but He healed my broken heart and He freed my mind from torment. He is my everything. And so much more. He is the very breath in my lungs, He is the Spirit that dwells in me. He is the One in whom my soul loves very deeply. I am nothing apart from Jesus. I am everything in Jesus because He died for me and rose again and is seated at the Right Hand of God our Father, i have taken my seat in the heavenlies with Him and we are seated high above the enemy. He is my Bridegroom and I am His Bride, along with all my Brothers and Sisters in Christ. He is my Bread, and He is my Living Water. He is my Life, He is the very essence of my being. Without Him I can do nothing, with Him I can do all things because He is my Strength. This is who Jesus is to me. |
How does a person become Christian? | By confessing with their mouth and believing in their heart that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, The Risen Messiah, the Anointed One, that saves and sets free. By giving their heart and surrending their life to Him, asking Jesus in their heart and life and granting FULL ACCESS to His Holy Spirit to take over their life. Believing and Receiving Him. That is how a person becomes a Christian. |
Describe your beliefs about the Bible: | I beleive the Bible is the living Word of God, His Spirit inspired the writers of the Bible and gave them the utterance in which they recorded long ago. He is the Same God now that He was then. The Bible is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword and it cuts through bone and marrow, soul and spirit and discerns the heart and thoughts of man. The WORD was in the beginning with God and was God. The Word is my roadmap, my guide, and my life support sometimes. |
Describe your beliefs about the Holy Spirit: | Holy Spirit is part of the Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is our Comforter and He is our very present Help in times of trouble. Holy Spirit leads and guides us into all truth. He convicts us and teaches us when we need Him to. Holy Spirit is powerful and He dwells within every Believer that has surrendered their life to Christ Jesus. Greather is HE that is in us, than he that is in the world. That is who Holy Spirit is. |
Briefly describe your personal faith testimony, your spiritual journey, and current walk with Christ: | My faith journey started as a baby when I was saved from being killed when I was run over at the age of 18 months. From then on, I have had several near death experiences that I have no other explanation for me being alive other than GOD. My spiritual journey was rocky in my teen years, but as I have faced many battles and defeated death, hell and the grave all because of Jesus being my Lord and Savior! He has kept me and He has walked with me the entire time. He has been there when I was in the pits of despair after my first marriage ended due to my husband's infidelity and divorce, with me and my two children (that I shared custody with my ex-husband), I found myself depressed, and became an every other weekend alcholic that eventually turned into drug abuse. I remarried and then became ill. While in treatment for the illness, my 2nd husband died in our 11th month of marriage. The addiction became worse, for 4 years I experienced every aspect of drug abuse, and the effects it has on everyone around you. The only way I overcame was with Jesus and the people He put in my path. I did not go into rehab, i did not attend AA meetings, I simply laid my hand on my belly and asked Jesus to help me and take away my cravings. He did it and so much more. I became a new creation in Him, baptized by water submersion (never had been baptized except springled as a baby and reconfirmation as an 11 year old), and later I was baptized in the Holy Ghost. I am now on a mission to ensure others know who they are in Christ and who He is to them. At my current home church the B.R.E.A.T.H of Hope Outreach Ministry was born about 3 years ago, in which I am the managing director. We hold (2) in-person support group meetings each month for anyone that is struggling with alcoholism, drug addiction, abuse, or other issues we face in life, as well as, hose dealing with family members that are addicted. We all need one another. This is a Biblically based support group and we encourage one another in the Lord, by His Spirit. |
Describe your Life Coaching practice/ministry and how you incorporate biblical principles, as well as spiritual practices and disciplines in your coaching activities (e.g., prayer, the use of Scripture, meditation, worship, solitude, etc.) | Cultivating and tending to my relationship with Jesus is #1. We spend time together every morning, sometimes in worship, then prayer, then reading His Word. It is not always in that order, sometimes we start with conversation (prayer), reading and then worship, but it is always led by His Holy Spirit. The first thing is thanking God for another day and asking Him to have His way. I encourage others to do the same. We must remember to allow Holy Spriit to guide us. To remove our agendas and allow Him to lead us into all truth. Then, He pours out His ideas, His plans, His spiritual tactics, His power and His Truth. This is where ideas, strategies and plans to conquer the enemy come from. This is where we are encouraged in the Lord and understand that things may be impossible with man, but with God nothing is impossible. We journal. This is another helpful spiritual practice. Daily journaling allows us to get out of us what we are feeling, or what we are dealing with. It allows us to ask God for help, but it also allows us to remember we are never alone. There have been many encounters with Holy Spirit in daily journaling, and writing down scriptures that He has led me to during journaling. In our meetings, every person that comes for the first time gets a journal, inspirational book marks and index cards. Index cards are another spirirtual practice that I use to not only get the Word of God inscribed on the tablet of my heart, but I also tape the index cards in strategic places around my home that allows me to see, proclaim and declare the Word of God over my life, my family's lives and my church family's lives. Over our neighborhoods and our ciities, our government and our work places. It also helps me when the enemy comes in like a flood because God raises a standard when I stand in my kitchen and read, believe, and declare His Word that are written on the index cards. It shifts the atmosphere and takes me from defense to offense. I encourage those that attend the meetings to do the same. Some have said they have started doing it and it has made a huge difference in their lives, praise the Lord! I also believe in regular church service attendance and tell the meeting folks this too. We need to be surrounded by a community of believers, like minded Brothers and Sisters in Christ. We encourage one another in the Lord and help one another when one is down with illness or having a rough patch., and many other reasons. We lock shields with each other and we pray for and with one another. These are what I incorporate in my daily Spiritual Life and what has helped me with PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, and be free from any addiction, but I give all glory to God, my Protector, my Provider, my Deliverer and so much more. |
