Education/Training in Christian Life Coaching

Education/Training in Christian Life Coaching

How many education/training hours in Life Coaching do you have?150
Education/Training Description

I have completed Trauma Informed Certificate for Coaches through The Centre For Healing.
I have completed Practitioner level training in the art of Neuro Linguistic Programming, as well as Life Coaching through Master Trainer David Key of Auspicium.
I have completed Discipleship Coach Training through the Billy Graham Association
I have completed Chaplain Institute Training Course through Global Chaplaincy Center (I am still waiting for the copy of my certification to arrive)
I have completed 2 levels of training for Kindom Builders Academy

The only thing I am still working on is the practicum for the Chaplaincy Centre. This takes 3 months to complete. When this is done, the training hourse will be much higher.

Comments from Lea Carawan: Because she has done the following work she is ready for the CPCLC
1. completed your 3 Foundations courses through ICCI
2. completed 3 mentor sessions with me
3. spent the last two years on my education (which supersede what is required for CPCLC)
4. completed the 75 coaching hours needed to qualify for CPCLC application
5. had mentors through other organizations in your specialized field of mental health/spiritual care – as you mentioned, “mentors that I have been being coached under for the last half year, 1. Chaplain, Dr. Dudley Meyers, whom I spent 3 months under while he coached me on how to be an effective spiritual care coach, and 2. the current mentor I'm shadowing in the same realm (at a Long Term Care Facility) for the family who need to walk through their frustrations or mental health dealing with aging parents.”
Monse Observations: with Eric Scalise approval he suggested placing the name of Dr. Dudley as the pastoral reference (we don't have 2 mentor references options) so he can be considered as another mentor reference to suffice the 6 sessions requirements.

Field Experience Description

I have my own practice called Developing Inner Excellence where I have clients who have hired me as a public speaker where I have traveled to different parts of the world speaking on how Scripture can help us transform into the person we were created to be. I group coach and teach on a few subjects as well. I started this business a few years ago, but really started deeper in the 1-on-1 coaching area the beginning of 2023
I have provided mentoring and coaching sessions at no charge to a number of different people in and out of my church.
I am also presently fulfilling my practicum hours for the Chaplaincy Center. This involves, coaching, mentoring, and discipling. ( I started with the Chaplaincy Center in 2022)
I also am a volunteer for Search For Jesus as a Discipleship Coach. I put in 2 hours a day 5-6 days a week since September of this year.
I am presently taking a 12 week Master Class on indepth business building for my coaching programs. This provides me with practice and experience like no other.

Spiritual Orientation and Practice

Instructions

Please define/describe your thoughts and beliefs on the following questions.

Who is Jesus Christ to you?

Jesus Christ is my breath, my all, my everything.
Jesus is my Saviour, My Redeemer, my God.
He literally saved my life, not only am I speaking of my spiritual life, but my physical life. He rescued me from the pit of darkness and according to His Word, has prepared a room for me in His glorious Kingdom.
Wow, how does one speak of who Jesus is to them when there are no words that I know of that could compare to explaining Him

How does a person become Christian?

First we must believe. Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He was sent to us in flesh form to ransom us from our sin. He died on the Cross as a final sacrifice, He rose 3 days later and will one day return for His bride (the believers)

Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth.
in doing so, you become a Christ follower, a Christian.
But it doesn't end there....we much continually strive for holiness. Though we will not obtain perfection in this life, we must do our best to life a life worthy of the calling - a child of God. When we fail (and we will) we much repent- ask for forgiveness and turn from that which pulls us down.
Surrender.

It is not complicated, but it requires a willingness.

Describe your beliefs about the Bible:

The Bible is God breathed, God inspired.
It is our love letter from the Creator of all things.
It is our life instructions, it is our promise.
We cannot pick and choose what we believe, it is, or it isn't. And IT IS

Describe your beliefs about the Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit is a precious gift from God. It is a gift as from a bride groom to his bride until he one day returns for her.
The Holy Spirit is truly our life line to Christ. Our counselor, our advocate, our conscious, our friend, our comforter, or prayer translator to the ears of God when we don't know what to pray.
He is a part of the God Head Three In One!
The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You cannot separate them

Briefly describe your personal faith testimony, your spiritual journey, and current walk with Christ:

I grew up with no mention of Jesus in our household. I, like many, come from not a broken home, but a smashed home. Addictions, abuse, abandonment - which later in my life, I took those things and ran with them trying to perfect them in my own life.
I look back and KNOW without a doubt God was there. I always believed in God even though He was never mentioned growing up - someone introduced me to church (Catholic) as a young girl and I received my first Bible. I read it and read it- never understanding it. Short version...I did life without it, but somewhere in life I decided I was going to die or change. I cried out to a God I heard about but never knew, I gave hinm an altimatum - rescue me now or I will never give him another chance.....He didn't answer me right away- or so I thought (perhaps I wouldn't listen) But eventually, He put strategically put people of faith in my life. I am a slow learner, it has taken me years as a Christian to get to where I am now. To surrender. (truthfully, I still need to learn how to surrender every new day) I cannot imagine my life without Him. Thankfully I don't have to because He promise He would never leave me! I now guide others to understanding Scripture, on how they can use it in their lives today, how transformation is possible and how we can change our mindset based on Biblical principles to live a much more fulfilled life in Christ.

Describe your Life Coaching practice/ministry and how you incorporate biblical principles, as well as spiritual practices and disciplines in your coaching activities (e.g., prayer, the use of Scripture, meditation, worship, solitude, etc.)

Not all of my clients are Christian, but I am, therefore, I pull from the Holy Spirit and my life as a woman of Christ. Those who are Christian, I absolutely use prayer, Scripture, journaling, and Worship.
When I speak (which is part of my ministry) it is on the basis of Scripture and how empowering God's Word actually is.
I love my solitude with the Lord. Daily I go on my own to talk with Him and to read His Word. My husband is a worship leader at our church so yes, worship is important in our lives. I guide my clients in understanding the importance of incorporating what God says through His Word, contemplating it (or chewing on it as I like to say) digesting it, and allowing it to nourish their body, mind and soul.
