Instructions

Please define/describe your thoughts and beliefs on the following questions.

Who is Jesus Christ to you?

Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh as the Son of God, the 2nd person of the Holy Trinity. Born of Mary by the Holy Spirit He is fully God yet fully man.

How does a person become Christian?

A person becomes a Christian by realizing his separation from God and believing that Jesus willingly surrendered His life to be crucified for the atonement of the sins of the world. In believing and surrendering his life to Christ, Christ's righteousness is imputed to the believer for his salvation.

Describe your beliefs about the Bible:

The Bible is the inerrant Word of God. Written by the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit, given to prophets and the apostles now complete and closed.

Describe your beliefs about the Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit is the 3rd Person of the Holy Trinity who came to us as our comforter after Jesus ascended to heaven after His resurrection. He is our guide and our teacher revealing to us the truths of the Word of God, teaching us the things of God. He leads us and gives us insight and wisdom as to God's will in our lives. He also gives us strength and power to do the will of God as He reveals it to us.

Briefly describe your personal faith testimony, your spiritual journey, and current walk with Christ:

I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in August of 1974. I was 19 years old and on a surfing trip to California. I was a dope-smoking surfer, with long sun-bleached hair and I lived, breathed, ate, and slept for surfing. It was my God and consequently, I was very empty. I was looking for peace in my soul and I could not find it. Anywhere. That summer, 7 of my best friends and I stacked 9 surfboards on top of a 1968 VW van and loaded up and drove cross country to California for surf. We camped out in San Onofre State Beach just south of LA for 3 months surfing every day we could. Finally, in mid-August, we packed up to head back home to Jacksonville Florida. On our way, we decided to stop in Yosemite National Forest for a couple of days. We stayed there in the campground for 2 weeks. On the day before we left for home, 3 of us went to the campground community store. There, a guy I'd never seen nor met before came up and started sharing the Gospel with us. My other 2 friends were giving him some grief but I was locked in listening. He spoke for about 3-4 minutes and then he left. But before he left, he challenged us to surrender to God and to ask Christ to come to our lives. Then He left. 10 minutes later I found myself alone on a path (much like my life) and I did just what he challenged and I surrendered my life to Jesus and asked Him into my life. That was 49 years ago. Here I am today. Praise Jesus and Glory to God! I now serve at my church on the CARE team. In my spiritual journey I've had many failures but those are what taught me the most about God and how to be the Man made in His image, Imago Dae the man He made me to be and live for Him.

Describe your Life Coaching practice/ministry and how you incorporate biblical principles, as well as spiritual practices and disciplines in your coaching activities (e.g., prayer, the use of Scripture, meditation, worship, solitude, etc.)

I have been coaching men in para-church organizations as well as in the local church for most of my Christian life, (almost 50 years). Specifically, in the last 3 years I have been coaching men in group coaching sessions, focusing on the men becoming the men God has called them to be. I lead a 2-3 10-week coaching series per year, coaching, training, and teaching men how to be the husbands, Dads and Disciples God has designed them to be and called us to be. I am also coaching men weekly for 2-3 hours per week on spiritual transformation and the renewal of our minds.
