Field Experience Description | Over the last six years, I have had the opportunity to put into practice my Christian Life Coaching as I serve as the International Student Coordinator for Blue Mountain Christian University. Another of my responsibilities is as Resident Director in one of the university's three dorms. I am a "mom" to an additional twenty-four young ladies. Currently, I serve 52 students from over 24 different countries. Acting as their advocate, coordinator, and "mom." I am able to coach students as they maneuver cultural differences and develop important decision-making skills that will serve them well in the future. I recently worked with a student from the United Kingdom as he was working through a difficult decision of whether to return home or continue with his studies in the United States. God has given me the joy and privilege to walk alongside so many throughout the years, allowing them to process and work through many life challenges. I look forward to using the education, skills, and practices learned through ICCI to impact those I serve.

Instructions | Please define/describe your thoughts and beliefs on the following questions.
Who is Jesus Christ to you? | Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. My everything.
How does a person become Christian? | Romans 10 9-10 Romans 10:13 Accept what God has done by faith (Belief) and receive salvation as a gift. Responding by committing your life to following Christ, and enter into a relationship with him through prayer, Bible reading, and worship.
Describe your beliefs about the Bible: | It is the inspired word of God, without error or fault in all its teaching. To be read and followed.
Describe your beliefs about the Holy Spirit: | I believe the Holy Spirit is part of the trinity, co-equal with God the Father and God the Son and is of the same essence. Yet He is also distinct from them, personal and with us, to teach us, guide us, comfort us and intercede for us.
Briefly describe your personal faith testimony, your spiritual journey, and current walk with Christ: | Trying to keep this brief, I often like to share my testimony using the little nursery rhyme. "Here is the Church, here is the steeple." Who would have ever believed one could find spiritual and factual truths in such a simple rhyme? I sure did not. But for me it gives me prospective as to the call the Lord has had on my life. Having been raised in a Christian home. I knew about Jesus from a very early age and remember having a deep desire for Him and to serve people around the world. It was desire I could not explain until I grew older. As a little girl, I never paid much attention to the words being recited in the nursery rhyme. To me it was just a fun way to describe a place where a bunch of people would gather one or two days a week to talk about Jesus. Of course, my family was a part of that group. We were there because it was something to do and a great place to visit our friends whose parents made them go as well. Honestly, I really can't remember many times not being at church growing up. It was my life and deep down I loved being where people talked about Jesus. I was involved in everything. I look back and see I was trying to find my place in desire I couldn’t explain. In my teen years, my thoughts and ideas toward church began to change and guess what? It those messages changed me. The messages became truth to me and often I would leave feeling as if the Lord Himself had spoken directly to me or that His presence was sitting or walking right next to me. I began to tuned out my talkative friends and began to listen intently. Listening for a small voice drawing and calling me to Him. A voice I knew but didn't really know, until.... March 12, 1972, not in a church building, but a gymnasium, I allowed the Holy Spirits to take this ragtag, lost and hurting girl from the rafters of the gym to a makeshift altar. There I was met by those who had invested Jesus in me. I confessed my sins and need for a savior. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I became His that day. As I grew in my faith and love for Jesus, I began to see the wiggly fingers inside my nursery rhyme church differently. I began to see them as faces. Faces of the many people who had invested and encouraged me in my faith. The faces of the many people who were or who had taken the time to serve in the church or community all in the name of Jesus. I saw the dear faces of the people who loved the Lord with their whole being. I saw the faces of people I wanted to be like. I began to see faces of hurting and lost people from all around the world. Faces I wanted to meet and share the Love of Christ with. Those early years also instilled in me a deep desire for Jesus and in me a desire to grow in my faith. A faith I would learn to run to in my times of need and despair. A faith to “follow Him” by obeying and trusting Him as I left my corporate job and spent 15 years in full-time international missions. I've not looked back in knowing and trusting that the Lord was and continues to be my everything. I love people and I serving them and telling them about the Lord. Of course, as I have come to know the Lord has a plan from the beginning. Even before I was born. The faithfulness of the Lord in fulfilling her heart’s desire resulted in the fulfillment of my heart’s desire When I accepted Him. A desire to share the Good News of Christ to the hurting around the world. A desire started 30+ years ago and continues today as he brings international students from around the world to me.
Describe your Life Coaching practice/ministry and how you incorporate biblical principles, as well as spiritual practices and disciplines in your coaching activities (e.g., prayer, the use of Scripture, meditation, worship, solitude, etc.) | My practice/ministry will be to provide coaching and training that inspires and motivates individuals or groups to God’s best for their lives. Using prayer, Biblical truths, Biblical values, and grace to encourage clients who may be walking through difficult challenges or difficult times in their lives, to become all that God created them to be. Communicating clearly using the skills learned through ICCI, I desire to be a vessel used by God to walk alongside individuals grow in their understanding and belief of God and His word and to be transformed in their thinking and understanding. I found this description somewhere and love it. Coaching is a great tool and an awesome blessing from God which help us grow and see beyond limitations. Coaching assists us in overcoming challenges and help us come out our comfort zones and grow. Coaching is all about transformation. God wants us to transform and become more like Him as we live our days in this world. Our God is the God of amazing transformations.
